Here I sit, at the dining table of my mother's house in Auckland, New Zealand. Outside, the overcast sky paints a dreary, unmemorable canvas of grey. Trepidation of imminent departure mingles with the excitement and promise of adventure. This journey has been a long time coming, and now it is upon me.

Welcome to Tales of my travels!

For those of you who don't know my itinerary, I'm leaving NZ on December 3rd, 2015 at 0600, landing in Bangkok. I am then doing a Stray Travel tour around Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. I leave Thailand for Paris, on January 13th 2016, and from there on out it is all unplanned.

I shall try to share any interesting experiences I may encounter during my time away. I don't plan on spending my whole time writing, however, so don't expect any regularity to the updates. I'll write one when I (hopefully) have something worthwhile to say. They may come every few days, or every few weeks. Time will tell.
